Pop-Up Choir Night
You're Invited to Pop-Up Choir Night by The Creative Voice!
In partnership with Wendi Kirby Music, The Creative Voice is thrilled to host an evening of singing, community, and fun with Pop-Up Choir Night! Where YOU, and your talented neighbors and friends, become the singers. This inclusive event is perfect for singers of all vocal types, current and former choir members, music lovers, and even shy car-singing queens who might be unsure. Yes, this night is for you!
Join us on Thursday, July 25th, in downtown Monterey for a no-pressure, one-night choir experience led by Christina Bailey, songwriter, and founder of The Creative Voice, along with a team of Artist Mentors. Together, we’ll create a unique music mashup featuring Stevie Nicks' Stand Back and a Chappell Roan's Good Luck Babe. Easy-to-follow music guides will be provided in advance, ensuring everyone feels prepared and ready to shine.
At Pop-Up Choir Night, you'll be invited to surrender to the experience by being focused, present, open, and willing to create with other like-minded creatives ready to escape the world for a night. This event is more than just singing; it's about building community, fostering creativity, and making memories as you make space for more full-bodied creative expression.
Christina Bailey is a Singer, Songwriter, and Vocal Embodiment coach based in Monterey, CA, focused on creating inspiring spaces for artists and creatives to confront mental health blockers so they can do more of what they love. Christina founded The Creative Voice in 2019 and has mostly offered online voice coaching and artist programs until this year. She's kicking off in-person experiences at the upcoming Pop Up Choir Night, hosted in partnership with Wendi Kirby Music. As a lifelong student and advocate of vocal music, Christina's career spans from studying choral conducting to performing with indie-rock bands to producing community arts events. She has shared stages with acts such as The Punch Brothers, Jackie Greene, Abigail Washburn, and The Doobie Brothers, and has co-writing credits as a published songwriter. Christina's classical and rock n' roll roots will combine this Fall with the launch of the Baroque & Unknown Music Education Event Series. This series will spotlight unknown Baroque women composers through immersive music education, food pairings, guest lectures, and unique live performances.
